"Wakeboarding is snowboarding on water..." that´s what you will hear from most boarders who tried it the first time. In wakeboarding a boat pulls the boarder over the water. Sounds like ordinary water ski? Think again, Wakeboarding is definitely not ordinary!A wakeboard looks similar to a snowboard, a little shorter and wider, with fixed bindings for a solid stance. The crucial factor for serious wakeboard fun is the wake of the powerboat. Special wakeboard-boats are able to ajust the wake from small to gigantic. This wave is used as a ramp to execute jumps similar to snowboarding. The powerful V8-Engine and the high attachment point of the rope allow jumps up to several meters. An experienced boarder can ride the endless wake if he likes even without holding on to the rope. While the athlete strings one move at the other? or at least tries, hangs the rest of the crew out on on the boat enjoying the show, listening to the booming sound system until it is their turn.
